wanted: housemate
(oct 4, 2001)

Just received an email from my student advisor saying that next year, due to budget optimization, all sponsored students are going to have to live in at least 2-bedroom accomodations.

I have to find a housemate, fast.

Possible housemate-ad copy: Desperately wanted: non-smoker, non-bitchy, non-loud, non-annoying, no criminal/suicidal tendencies, loves cleaning, able to withstand housemate who hates cleaning, impeccable hygiene, impeccable everything else. p/s: if you look like Brad Pitt, Jude Law or David Duchovny, you'll definitely be moved to top of the list.

Even I can't fulfill my own housemate criterias.

I thought of moving out earlier this year with my friends. But as the months passed by we all thought we would be better off just staying put. I'm just getting comfortable with living alone and loving my own bachelor pad. And now it's October and my student advisor's telling me I have to find a housemate.

This is very unsettling. I hate the trouble of moving places. Looking for good apartments is another horror story.

Ggaa. After almost two years I don't know if I'm fit to be living with people anymore.

listening to:
- matchbox 20's Yourself or Someone Like You. Fave tracks being Long Day, Shame, and Hang. For some reason they remind me of rainy, gloomy days when I was in college. I like this album better than their last effort.
- Rolling Stone magazine's free Noise CD. I don't know most of the people on the tracks but they sound absolutely wonderful. Will do more music research later.

reading:
- October In Style magazine. more like just looking at nice pictures than reading, actually.
