denial
(sorry, i lost track)

I totally support a person's right to be in denial.

Sometimes the actual problem is just so harrowing that even just thinking about thinking about it makes you want to throw up. So why ruin your new shirt just because someone with a degree in psychiatry tells you so?

This whole notion that you should talk out your problems to death is way overrated. Sometimes talking about it only reinforces your belief that you MIGHT actually have a problem, whether, if you ignore it as much as possible and engage in your preferred displacement therapy, be it snapping your wrist with a rubber band or doing the dishes, it MIGHT just go away.

MIGHT is a mighty word.

I guess whatever gets you through the day is pretty good enough. Everyone's got baggage, although some in Louis Vuittons and some in cheap plastic bags.
